Can I record using audio/video cables from the TV to a VCR/DVD combo? What cables do I use to record?
I don't have digital cable. I have an antenna hooked up to the TV through a cable. The TV and VCR/DVD combo is hooked up by audio/video cables. I want to record from the TV to the VCR.
If your TV has output plugs run your av cables from those to your input plugs on your dvd/vcr combo. You can record a show from that as long as your channel setting is on input (aux, line in).
The cables are color coded (yellow, red, and white) as well as the plugs ins on the back your dvd/vcr.
You can also plug your antenns into the back of the dvd/vcr and run another coaxial cable to your tv.
If you have your dvd/vcr manual, you should take a look at the setup instructions there too.
