I have a PNY Brand nvidia 6200 AGP graphics card...and have random crashes???
I've tried everything..
Updating BIOS driver..
Updating Nvidia Graphics driver...
Nothing seems to work...is it just a bad brand? (PNY)?
This card has had the same problem in two seperate computer units, and has had this problem since out-of-box.
Otherwise, it's pretty good 97% of the time.
I used to use the same crap when I had an AGP based system.
The brand is the chips 6200 is actually the main problem. It overheats, although its clock speed is certainly low and so is the performance. But for AGP there isn't much of a good solutions out there so people are stuck with bad chipsets.
I think the problem may be solved by using Nibitor

its an Nvidia BIOS editor. When I used this card, i remember I had two extra Shader piplelines open which caused the trouble. Basically this card comes with 4 shader piplelines but on some cards 6 shader pipelines exist which are actually 6600 chips with disabled shader to make them 6200. But due to memory allocation when 6 sahders operate the card freezes.
Use Nibitor to disable the other 2 shader piplines that are open. OR before doing this I may suggest lowering the memory and clock speed by 8% should fix the problem as well.
