is there a product available that allows me to plug a PCI card into a laptop via USB?
I would like to use a motion control card that interfaces using PCI (for a desktop). However I'd like to use it on a lap top via USB if possible. I have come across a "Magma" system that uses a PCMCIA card to connect to the laptop, but USB would be better.
even though there are almost an infinity of USB to (almost anything) adapters, I never heard of any to PCI.
you'll have to search an adapter that fits either in your PCMCIA slot, or directly in the USB port.
unfortunately, you just can't connect a PCI card to the USB port. (there is no convertor available, as I was saying).
