how do I record video from my games without a capture card or camera?
my camera isn't capable of recording off the screen like a capture card (like I want to), I cannot afford a capture card, or a dvd recorder, and I doubt that the singstar microphone adapter trick works. about all I have is a half broken desktop and a laptop with an hdmi port but I don't know if that is in our out...if anyone even knows a mod to make a webcam work like a capture card please tell...I have like 5 webcams sitting around from 2006
so google the software called "screen recorder", that's one kind of peogram which allows you to record what you see on your computer screen. no capture card or any hardware is needed. Some of them also provide comprehensive video editing feature so you can decorate your videos with many special visual effect rather than just record it.

The two mentioned above are both shareware, however much cheaper than buying another capture card. There're also some professional screen recording programs but I don't think you're that kind of addict who is willing to paid that much for them.
