I want to upgrade the GPU in my laptop?
i have a DELL XPS M1730, and i have the NVIDIA GeForce 8700 SLI gpu inside of it, and i wanted to upgrade it, and i have absolutly no idea how to get the 880GTX sli cards that is an option for the GPU, so i was thinking of the Diamond Viper ATI Radeon HD3870 X2 1GB DDR3 Video Card, or where could i get the 8800's that are made for my laptop.and does the X2 mean its two in one???
The 2 GPU's have to be identical in every way. And even with SLI or Crossfire technology, very very few notebooks support adding the second GPU after it leaves the factory. I would make sure your specs specifically state that future GPU addons are in fact an option.
