What AGP card is better Radeon HD 3650, Radeon HD 2600XT, Radeon HD X1950 pro?
I still have and agp system and I want to play some games till I build my new system
my specs are:
P4 @ 3.4ghz
1GB DDR 400mhz
Radeon 9200
160GB HDD
I want to know which one card is better out of Radeon HD 3650, Radeon HD 2600XT, Radeon HD X1950 pro
Thanks
If you already have the cards laying around, the X1950 Pro is the best, followed by the 2600XT and finally the 3650. The 2600XT is a GDDR3 card, while the 3650 is GDDR2.
In the performance chart linked by the previous poster:
X1950 Pro = 21.70
2600XT = 20.20
3650 = 18.50
However, if you're looking for something to purchase for an AGP system the answer is "none of the above". Only two cards in AGP are worth buying these days: the Radeon 3850 and 4670. Their performance is very close- the 4670 is newer, runs cooler and draws less power, while the 3850 is slightly faster and has fewer driver issues. ATI released a hotfix for 4600 series cards on AGP systems.
For a long time the 2600XT was considered the best AGP card under $100 but ATI's introduction of the low-cost 4600 series and subsequent price drops on the 3850 bumped it from contention.
